Sean Wang, Chief Executive Officer, Allianz Malaysia Berhad (left) and Giulio Slavich, Chief Executive Officer, Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 (Bernama) -- Allianz Malaysia Berhad (Allianz Malaysia) recently convened its 52nd Annual General Meeting (AGM), where the Group underscored its unwavering commitment to building trust and securing lives – a legacy that has guided the Group for 25 years and counting.
The AGM, chaired by Allianz Malaysia Chairman Zakri Mohd Khir alongside the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer Sean Wang as well as Allianz Life Insurance Malaysia Berhad Chief Executive Officer Giulio Slavich, highlighted the Group’s achievements over the past year and quarter of a century, as well as its vision for the future. Shareholders approved all of the Board of Directors’ proposals raised at the AGM.
Reflecting on Allianz Malaysia’s 25th anniversary, Zakri said: “This 25-year journey is a testament to the trust our customers, shareholders and business partners have placed in us. It is their confidence that drives us to deliver sustainable value and customer-centric solutions. As we look to the future, we remain committed to building on this legacy of trust and reliability, ensuring that Allianz Malaysia continues to be a pillar of strength for all those we serve.”
Commenting on the Group’s performance, Sean added: “Over the past 25 years, we have remained unwavering in our commitment to those we serve, standing strong even through periods of uncertainty and rapid change. This milestone is not only a reflection of how far we have come, but also a renewed pledge to continue protecting what matters most to our customers and stakeholders. Looking ahead, we are inspired to build on this legacy – we stand steadfastly beside our customers, supporting them beyond insurance by helping them prevent risks, stay safe in everyday life, and feel confident when it matters most for all Malaysians.”
For the financial year ended 31 December 2025, Allianz Malaysia delivered solid results, underscoring its financial strength and operational excellence. Total business volume expanded to RM6.24 billion, up from RM5.65 billion in the previous year, while operating profit rose to RM1.17 billion from RM1.01 billion. Gross Written Premiums also increased to RM7.69 billion compared to RM7.24 billion in 2024. In recognition of its shareholders’ continued support, a total annual dividend of 89.5 sen per ordinary share was paid out on 13 February 2026.
The Group also paid out a single tier interim dividend of 35.5 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending 31 December 2026, on 10 June 2026.
During the year, Allianz Malaysia achieved several milestones, including the launch of its Penang One Allianz Flagship branch which marks a new chapter in strengthening and improving customer service, strong growth across both the general and life insurance businesses including through the launch of new products and initiatives such as Allianz Travel XPert, Allianz Electric Vehicle EcoMiles and AssuredLove, and continued efforts to give back to the surrounding community through the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility arm.
These efforts did not go unrecognised; Allianz Malaysia was re-certified as a Great Place To Work® in 2025, in addition to receiving the Overall Excellence Award at the National Corporate Governance & Sustainability Awards (NACGSA) 2025. Further, the Group’s general insurance subsidiary, Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad was named General Insurance Company of the Year at the 29th Asia Insurance Industry Awards 2025.
Allianz Malaysia marked the start of 2026 with the launch of its 25th anniversary campaign, offering customers rewarding and engaging experiences. As part of the celebration, one Malaysian will have a chance to be rewarded with a Proton e.MAS 5, alongside opportunities to embark on an extraordinary journey to Iceland as well as enjoy exclusive dining and lifestyle experiences, among other rewards.
Complementing the customer campaign, Allianz Malaysia also brought its Allianz Carnival to communities nationwide through a vibrant road show, promoting wellness, active lifestyles and meaningful connections. The journey began in Johor Bahru and continued in Petaling Jaya, with the finale taking place in Penang this week from 17 to 21 June 2026.
