SERDANG, Dec 8 (Bernama) -- Putra Business School (PBS) celebrated the achievements of its most exemplary students during the Convocation Ceremony 2025, held at the Pusat Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Alongside awarding degrees to 178 graduating students, the ceremony highlighted the remarkable accomplishments of outstanding graduates who received special recognition across several prestigious award categories.

This year’s awards honoured individuals who demonstrated excellence in academic performance, leadership, ethical conduct, and commitment to personal and professional growth. The award categories included the President’s Award, Human Governance Award, Graduate-on-Time (GOT) Award, Gold and Silver Academic Awards, and the PBS Partners’ Awards.

A total of 3 students received the Human Governance Award. In addition, one recipient was honoured with the President’s Award for Research Programmes, and one recipient received the President’s Award for Coursework Programmes. The celebration also acknowledged 4 Graduate-on-Time Award recipients, 10 Gold Award recipients, and 47 Silver Award recipients, alongside several Partners’ Award honourees for outstanding collaboration and achievement.

Among this year’s distinguished awardees was Mohd Haziq Asyraf Bin Mohd Hamdan, recipient of the Human Governance Award – Commendable Contributions and Silver Award. In sharing his journey, he said:

“As a working professional in sales and marketing, I needed a programme that adapted to my reality. The online format allowed me to pursue my MBA without sacrificing career or family time, while still preparing me for higher-level management roles. PBS offered real industry exposure, diverse perspectives from classmates, and a well-structured curriculum that helped me grow, not just graduate.

The industry visits were my favourite part — they sparked ideas for my career path and gave me a clearer vision of my future. The connections made with classmates from different industries were equally valuable, often teaching me more than textbooks could.”

Another outstanding graduate, Ms. Sara Toh Yen Yen, who received the CMI Award and Gold Award, credited PBS’s flexibility, credibility, and global recognition for her successful postgraduate journey:

“I chose PBS due to its international accreditations and reputation as one of Malaysia’s top business schools. PBS also introduced a Student Referral Scheme, which I used successfully and found beneficial. Most importantly, as a full-time working professional, the weekend class structure allowed me to maintain my career while studying part-time. This flexibility made it possible for me to excel without compromising my work commitments.”

These testimonials reflect PBS’s commitment to providing industry-relevant, flexible, and globally benchmarked education that empowers learners to advance their careers while upholding strong values and leadership qualities.

The outstanding graduates of the Class of 2025 represent the spirit of excellence that PBS continues to cultivate: graduates who are competent, ethical, and ready to contribute meaningfully to their organisations and communities.
