PETRONAS Carigali Expands AI Partnership with Beicip-Franlab and AFED Digital to Accelerate Upstream Innovation

The milestone was commemorated at an Exchange of Documents ceremony held in Abu Dhabi on 4 November. ABU DHABI, Nov 5 (Bernama) -- PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd today formalised its second Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Beicip-Franlab and AFED Digital Sdn Bhd, further advancing the development and application of its flagship TriCipta AI venture across the Upstream value chain.
The partnership was announced at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2025.
Building on the success of the first JDA signed in June 2025, this strategic expansion will co-develop a comprehensive suite of AI solutions for exploration, development, and production. These tools are designed to unlock new levels of operational efficiency, improve investment decisions, and drive greater value from Upstream assets.
