UEM Edgenta Appoints Shaiful Subhan as Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 (Bernama) -- UEM Edgenta Berhad (“UEM Edgenta” or “the Company”) today announced the appointment of Shaiful Subhan as its Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (MD/CEO) effective 1 November 2025. Shaiful has served as the company's Officer in Charge during the transition period since the departure of former MD/CEO Syahrunizam Samsudin on 31 August 2025.
Shaiful Subhan joined the Company in January 2023 as the Head of Healthcare Solutions and Managing Director of Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd. In this role, he was instrumental in overseeing the company’s strategic direction, driving operational excellence, and growing its business within Malaysia’s healthcare support industry.
With over 25 years of leadership experience across multiple sectors, Shaiful brings a wealth of expertise to his new position. Before UEM Edgenta, he was the Group Chief Executive Officer of IRIS Corporation Berhad from 2017 to 2022. His earlier career spanned diverse industries, including telecommunications, broadcasting, and IT.
Shaiful holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Birmingham, UK, and an MBA from the University of New England, Australia. He is a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK.
This appointment follows an extensive and rigorous selection process and is a positive reflection of the Company’s robust succession planning.
