The programme also addresses sustainable industrial development through presentations by the Selangor Water Management Authority (LUAS) on its Zero Discharge Policy for sustainable water resource management, and Air Lestari on water circularity as an investment enabler under the RS-2 and WST2040 roadmaps. These sessions offer investors and industry stakeholders insights into industrial park offerings, infrastructure considerations and sustainability initiatives that support the development of a competitive industrial ecosystem.

SPARK 2026 also provides opportunities for international business engagement through programmes such as the Tokyo-Malaysia Business Partnership Seminar 2026 and business matching sessions organised by the Tokyo SME Support Centre. The programme is designed to encourage connections between businesses, facilitate discussions on potential partnerships and support cross-border collaboration between Malaysian and international industry players.

Another highlight of SPARK 2026 is a WHB’s seminar titled “Nuclear – Let’s Talk About It!” on 15 October 2026 at 2.00 pm at the SPARK Main Stage, Hall 2, Ground Floor, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Complementing the exhibition, the Selangor Industrial Facilitation Clinic the initiative provides a dedicated platform for industrial investors, business owners, developers, consultants and project teams to engage directly with relevant government agencies and approving authorities on industrial and investment development matters.

The clinic is designed to help participants clarify technical, regulatory, compliance and approval requirements, as well as address practical issues involving land, utilities, infrastructure and project implementation. By bringing investors and relevant authorities together, the clinic facilitates direct engagement with Selangor’s Local Authorities (PBT) and technical agencies, including the Public Works Department (JKR), Department of Environment (JAS) and other relevant technical and regulatory agencies. These may include the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (JPS),  PLANMalaysia, the Land and Mines Office and utility providers.  Through this integrated approach, investors and businesses can obtain clarification on planning permissions, development approvals, infrastructure requirements, environmental compliance, drainage, road access, fire safety and utility connections. The clinic supports more coordinated engagement, helps address project-related enquiries and enables businesses to better understand the procedures and requirements involved in establishing or expanding industrial operations in Selangor.

A key highlight of SPARK 2026 is the launch of three strategic initiatives by Invest Selangor:-.

i. The Selangor Investment Promotion Booklet has been developed to present Selangor’s investment value proposition, business opportunities and key competitive strengths in a concise and accessible format. The publication is intended to serve as a reference for existing and prospective investors seeking to understand Selangor’s business environment and identify opportunities for investment and expansion. Through this initiative, Invest Selangor aims to strengthen the promotion of Selangor as a preferred investment destination and provide investors with relevant information to support their business decisions.

ii. Invest Selangor, in collaboration with Randstad Malaysia, is launching the report Elevating Selangor’s Potential as a Global Talent Powerhouse. The report examines Selangor’s talent ecosystem, sectoral workforce demand, workforce agility and remuneration benchmarks, offering insights into the availability and development of talent to support business growth. Talent availability and workforce capabilities remain important considerations for companies assessing new investments or expanding existing operations. The report is intended to help investors and industry stakeholders better understand Selangor’s talent landscape and its role in supporting business competitiveness.

iii. The Invest Selangor Preferred Industrial Park (PIP) Programme continues to strengthen the visibility and attractiveness of Selangor’s industrial parks to prospective investors. The programme aims to connect investors with suitable industrial park developers through strategic promotion and direct referrals, helping to facilitate more targeted engagement between businesses seeking industrial locations and developers offering suitable facilities.

The three initiatives launched at SPARK 2026 further complement these efforts by promoting Selangor’s investment proposition, highlighting the state’s talent capabilities and enhancing the visibility of its industrial parks. As Selangor continues to attract investment and support business expansion, Invest Selangor remains committed to facilitating investor engagement, connecting businesses with relevant stakeholders and promoting the state as a competitive destination for investment, industry and talent.
